Each week during the 2000 season the Ravens honor a Baltimore Area high school coach who has had an impact on the lives of his young athletes.
At each Ravens' home game in 2000, PSINet, the Baltimore Ravens, and the Governor's Office on Service and Volunteerism honor Baltimore Area youth organizations who make a difference in local communities.
During half-time of every Ravens' home game, the Ravens and Baltimore Area Toyota Dealers host the Quarterback Challenge. High school quarterbacks from the Baltimore Area compete to win prizes for their school's football program.
Each March in Baltimore, the charity bestows an Ed Block Courage Award to a player from each NFL team who, in the eyes of his teammates, exemplifies a commitment to the principles of sportsmanship and courage.
